Data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Website or from the infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit or IP address).
Cookies

Data Principal
Under India’s DPDPA 2023, this refers to you — the individual to whom the personal data belongs.
Data Fiduciary
Shubham Gupta / quantg.in — the person who determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data.
1. ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
quantg.in is run by me, Shubham Gupta, a solo data science and AI freelancer operating out of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. I publish articles, tutorials, and case studies on topics like machine learning, AI systems, time series forecasting, data analytics, and related subjects. I also take on freelance client work across data science, BI dashboards, LLM fine-tuning, and AI engineering.
There is no company, team, or separate entity behind this website. Just me. Any data I collect, I handle personally and I take that responsibility seriously.
2. INFORMATION I COLLECT
I collect two types of information depending on how you use the site.
PERSONAL DATA (that you provide directly):
When you fill out the contact form at quantg.in/contact, subscribe to blog updates, send an enquiry by email or WhatsApp, or reach out for a project discussion — I may collect the following:
- Your name
- Email address
- WhatsApp number (if you provide it)
- The service area you’re interested in
- A description of what you’re looking for
This information is always provided voluntarily. I don’t ask for more than what I need to respond to you or deliver on a project.
USAGE DATA (collected automatically):
Like most websites, quantg.in collects some data automatically when you visit. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, which pages you visited, time and date of your visit, time spent on each page, and the referring URL. This data is never used to personally identify you — it is aggregated and primarily tells me what content is useful and whether the site is working properly.
If you’re only reading blog posts and not filling out any form, no personally identifiable data is collected from you at all.
3. HOW I USE YOUR INFORMATION
I use the data I collect for following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry or service request
- To prepare a proposal or quote if you’ve asked for one
- To communicate and deliver on active freelance projects
- To improve the website experience based on aggregated analytics
- To send blog updates or newsletters, but only if you have subscribed — and you can unsubscribe at any time, no friction
I do not use your data to build advertising profiles. I don’t sell it, rent it, or share it for any commercial purpose outside the scope of our direct engagement. Theres simply no infrastructure here for any of that.
4. ANALYTICS AND SEARCH CONSOLE
I use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console to understand how this website is being used. This include data on what content performs well, where traffic comes from, and how to improve the overall experience.
You can read Google’s Terms & Conditions for Analytics at:
https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/
For detailed information on how Google uses data from sites that use their services, please visit:
https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/
If you want to opt out of Google Analytics tracking entirely, you can install the official browser extension here:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses and it’s settings on this site are configured in accordance with standard privacy practices. For Google Search Console’s own data practices, please refer to Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. COOKIES
quantg.in uses cookies to keep the website functional and to collect basic analytics information.
Types of cookies in use on this site:
Essential Cookies
Required for the basic functionality of the website. These cannot be disabled without breaking core features and they do not track you across other websites.
Analytics Cookies
Used via Google Analytics (GA4) to understand page-level performance and visitor behaviour in aggregate. These cookies do not identify you as an individual and are not linked to any advertising system.
I do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or anything associated with ad networks like Google Ads or Facebook Pixel.
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allows you to block specific types of cookies or clear them entirely. Please note that blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the website works.
6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
When you use quantg.in, data collected via tools like Google Analytics may be processed on servers located outside India, including in the United States. Google LLC processes Analytics data and operates under its own data protection practices and applicable international frameworks.
By using this website, you acknowledge that your anonymised usage data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside India. I take reasonable steps to ensure any such transfer happens with appropriate safeguards in place, and only anonymised data — never personal data you’ve submitted directly — is involved in this transfer.
7. DO NOT TRACK (DNT)
At this time, quantg.in do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. This is because there is no universally accepted or legally mandated standard for how DNT signals should be interpreted. If a clear, widely adopted standard for DNT compliance is established in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
8. CLIENT DATA — SPECIAL NOTICE
This section applies specifically to clients who engage me for freelance data projects.
Data science, machine learning, and AI projects often requires access to sensitive business information — internal records, financial figures, customer datasets, operational metrics. When a client shares this kind of data with me for a project, I treat it with the highest level of discretion.
Client data is handled as follows:
- Used only for the agreed project scope — nothing beyond
- Never shared with any third party without explicit written consent
- Never used to train external models or repurposed for other work
- Never referenced, even anonymously, in case studies, blog posts, or any public content without your prior written permission
At close of a project, client data is either returned in full or permanently deleted based on what we agreed in the project terms. This is a non-negotiable standard regardless of project size.
9. DATA SHARING
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Full stop.
Your data may only be accessed by service providers that are strictly necessary to operate this website — such as web hosting, email platforms, and analytics tools. Each of these providers are subject to their own data protection obligations and are given only the minimum information they need to function.
I reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement, state, or federal officials if legally required to do so in connection with the website or its users. Where the law permits, I will notify you before disclosing any data.
10. DATA RETENTION
Different types of data is held for different lengths of time:
Contact form submissions and general enquiries
Retained for approximately 12 months after the last exchange, then permanently deleted.
Project communications (active and completed)
Retained for up to 24 months after project completion to cover any queries or disputes that may arise.
Client project files and deliverables
Returned to the client or deleted at the close of the project, as agreed in the project terms.
Financial records (invoices, payment confirmations)
Retained for 7 years as required under Indian accounting and tax regulations. This is a statutory requirement — not discretionary.
Website analytics data
Retained in aggregate form for up to 24 months. No personally identifiable data is retained within the analytics system.
Email subscriber data
Retained until you unsubscribe or submit a deletion request.
11. CHILDREN AND MINORS
quantg.in is not directed at or intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. I do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through this website, please contact me at hi@quantg.in and I’ll take care of it promptly.
12. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA PRINCIPAL
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules 2026 (which came into partial effect from November 13, 2026), you have the following rights:
Right of Access
You can request a copy of any personal data I hold about you.
Right to Correction
You can ask me to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data I have about you.
Right to Erasure
You can request deletion of all personal data I hold about you, subject to any legal obligations that require me to retain certain records.
Right to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw consent for any form of data processing at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that already occurred before you withdrew.

You can request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Right to Grievance Redressal
If you believe any of your rights under this policy has been violated, you can raise a grievance with me directly (see Section 19). If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once it becomes fully operational under the DPDP Rules 2026.
To exercise any of these rights, email hi@quantg.in. I will respond within 30 days.
13. CONSENT WITHDRAWAL
You can withdraw consent for any type of data processing at any time by emailing hi@quantg.in. Please specify clearly what you are withdrawing consent for — for example, newsletter communications, contact form data retention, or project-related data.
Withdrawal will be actioned within 30 days. Note that withdrawing consent does not affect any contractual or project obligations that are already in place.
For email newsletters and updates specifically: use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email you receive from quantg.in, or contact me directly and I’ll remove you manually.
14. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in risk or harm to you, I will:
- Notify you as soon as reasonably practicable after the breach is identified
- Notify the Data Protection Board of India within the timelines specified under DPDP Rules 2026
- Provide you with information about the nature of the breach, what data was affected, and what steps are being taken
While this website has reasonable security measures in place, no internet-connected system is fully immune from risk. If you suspect that data you shared with me has been exposed or compromised in any way, please notify me immediately at hi@quantg.in so I can investigate and act.
15. SECURITY
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data held on this website and within client engagements. The website runs on HTTPS. Client data is exchanged through secure channels. Access to any sensitive project data is restricted to me alone — which inherently eliminates a category of internal access risk present in larger setups.
That said, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. I cannot and do not make an unconditional guarantee of security.
For any security concerns, please write to hi@quantg.in.
16. LINKS TO EXTERNAL WEBSITES
Blog posts and articles on quantg.in sometimes links to external websites, tools, research papers, and resources. These links are included as genuine references — not as an endorsement of those websites’ privacy practices or content.
Once you leave quantg.in, this privacy policy no longer applies. I have no control over and take no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
17. SPONSORED AND COMMISSIONED CONTENT
If sponsored or paid content is ever published on quantg.in, it will be clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” at the top of the article. Currently, all blog content on this site is independent editorial work and is not commercially influenced by any third party.
18. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
I will update this privacy policy from time to time as the website evolves, services change, or applicable laws require it. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
If there are material changes to how I collect or use your personal data, I will make effort to notify active subscribers by email. You are advised to review this policy periodically.
